Juneyao JY Air Launched in Nepal at Rs 49.99–63.99 Lakh

Chinese automaker Juneyao Auto has officially entered the Nepalese electric vehicle market with its new JY Air premium electric sedan, distributed locally by LRR Motors.

The JY Air Ultra is offered at Rs 63.99 lakh (original Rs 68 lakh), while the JY Air Lite is priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (original Rs 54 lakh) at the NADA Auto Show 2025. 

The JY Air Ultra features a 64 kWh LFP battery and a 99 kW motor producing 250 Nm of torque. Charging options include DC fast charging, which charges the battery from 30% to 80% in about 21 minutes, and AC full charging in approximately 6.5 hours.

The Ultra variant delivers a WLTC range of 440 km and comes equipped with advanced features such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, 360-degree camera system, cruise control, ABS, EBD, TCS, ESC, TPMS, and seven airbags.

Other highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate, L2 ADAS features, 15.6-inch rotary touchscreen, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, 8.8-inch instrument panel, 6-way electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats, rear-wheel drive, wireless charger, and a panoramic glass sunroof.

The JY Air Lite is powered by a 51 kWh LFP battery with the same motor and torque specifications. It offers a WLTC range of 355 km, with DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes and AC full charging in about 5.3 hours.

Standard features include V2L, 360-degree camera, cruise control, ABS, EBD, TCS, ESC, TPMS, electric tailgate, L2 ADAS features, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear-wheel drive, 15.6-inch touchscreen, and 6-way manually adjustable driver and co-driver seats.

Both variants share dimensions of 4,550 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, 1,515 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm and ground clearance of 172 mm.
